Auckland – Bay of Islands – Taupo – Rotorua – Queenstown – Christchurch

Day 1
Welcome to Auckland

On arrival into Auckland you'll be met by your private guide and chauffeur and transferred to Mollies, approximately thirty minutes from the airport.

Shake off your jetlag on a wonderful sightseeing tour of the city. Take a scenic drive along the waterfront, visit the quaint Victorian village of Parnell and see panoramic views of Auckland from the extinct volcano - Mount Eden. A private tour of Auckland Museum will give you an opportunity to see a world-renowned collection of Polynesian artefacts.

Day 2
Auckland – Bay of Islands

M eet your guide after a relaxing breakfast and transfer by private vehicle to Auckland airport for your short flight to Keri Keri in the Bay of Islands. You'll visit the historic Waitangi Treaty House, which commemorates the end of the Maori wars in the 18th century. The Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840 between representatives of the English Crown and Maori Chiefs sowing the seeds of a bi-cultural nation. Your local guide will divulge all their local knowledge to you.

Day 3
Bay of Islands

Today we depart by helicopter to the most northerly tip of New Zealand. Take a helicopter flight over some of New Zealand's most stunning scenery including Ninety-Mile Beach, Cape Reinga and Tapotupotu Bay.

Day 4
Bay of Islands - Taupo

After a leisurely breakfast you'll be met by your guide and transferred to Keri Keri Domestic airport for your flight to Taupo in the center of the North Island. On arrival in Taupo you'll be transferred to the Huka Lodge that has hosted European royalty, including Queen Elizabeth II, on numerous occasions. Situated on the bank of the Waikato River nearby the mighty Huka Falls it's the real fisherman's paradise.

Day 5
Taupo

After breakfast you'll be transferred to the harbour. Take a relaxing two hour cruise on a private launch on Lake Taupo. If you are lucky you may even catch a trout!

Day 6
Taupo - Queenstown

Enjoy a scenic thirty minute drive to begin your sightseeing of Wai-O-Tapu, home of a unique volcanic wonderland, diverse thermal reserves, boiling mud pools, flat lakes and huge volcanic craters. Continue by private vehicle on to Rotorua, often called “Sulphur City”. Home to one-third of the country's Maori population the town is deeply rooted in tradition and has a strong sense of Maori community. Continue on to Rotorua Domestic airport for your flight to Queenstown.

Day 7
Queenstown

This morning you'll be whisked away by helicopter from the lodge to Milford Sound famous for its glaciers, mountain peaks, lakes and picturesque views. In the afternoon it's your free time at leisure.

Day 8
Queenstown

Enjoy the magnificent streams, lakes, native bush, dense rain forests and crystal clear waters of Southern Alps.

Day 9
Queenstown - Christchurch

After a relaxing morning meet your guide and transfer by private vehicle to Queenstown Domestic airport for your flight to Christchurch. While being on a sightseeing tour of Christchurch, drive on to Cathedral Square, Christ College, the Arts Centre and the Botanical Garden.

Day 10
Christchurch

After breakfast meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a full day to the exquisite seaside town of Akaroa, still rich with French, Maori and English culture. Put on your wetsuit and board your boat for a two hour scenic cruise of the peninsular and a chance to swim with the dolphins.

Day 11
Christchurch

Today is at leisure until your departure flight. Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and will escort you by private transfer in a limousine to Christchurch International airport for your home flight.
